Today, I introduce Niigata.
The rice production of Niigata is the largest in Japan.
Since long long ago, Japanese people have had a staple diet of rice. And even now, rice is essential food for us to live.
The famous brand of rice "kosihikari" is made in Niigata and it is had the whole of Japan.
I also like it very much!
But in these days, more Japanese people tend to eat foreign food.
Specially, fast foods; for example hamburgers and french fries are very popular.
So the rice consumption in Japan is decreasing.
We should be proud of our own food culture and tell all over the world grateful of Japanese staple diet; rice!
It is Koshihikari that my family eats everyday. I like rice very much, so it is a pity that Japanese people now don’t eat rice as often as in the past. I also think Japanese people should be proud of rice and eat rice at least twice a day. Do you have an idea to solve this problem?
返信削除I think “Koshihikari” is the best brand of rice in Japan. Its new rice especially is delicious, but young people do not eat rice too much nowadays. I want young people to know that rice is delicious and healthy.

I have been hankering for Koshihikari little for a long time. Especially, I want to eat Koshihikari maked in Uonuma. I also think it is a great pitty that we get to eat less rice. We have to a lot of recipesfor rice.
