Kyoto

Today, I'll talk about the important city of religion.
There are a lot of temples and shrines. For example, the Temple of Golden Pavilion is very famous.
Almost of them were built in the Heian period. In the Heian period, many monks teach religion to people who are poor and in trouble to help them.
Now, many temples and teaching of monks remain in Kyoto. Seeing them makes us go back in history of Japan.

Kyoto is one of the greatest cities of sightseeing of Japan, too.
A lot of students in Japan go on a school trip to Kyoto. I'm also one of them.
And many students buy "yatuhashi". That is a traditional Japanese-style confection of Kyoto. I'm also one of them!

  1. I also went on a school trip to Kyoto and bought “yatuhasi” when I was an elementary school student. This is one of the best trips because I could visit many temples like Kiyomizudera and Kinkakuji. At the same trip I went to Nara, too. Did you go to Nara at the same time?

  2. I have been to Kyoto before. There were many famous temples and shrines there, and I visited some of them. Yet I was not able to visit the others then. Therefore I want to visit the Golden Pavilion, and I want to learn the history. I think Kyoto is one of the most historic cities in the world.
